Economic and Non-Economic Determinants of The Return of Polish Labour Migrants (The Example of Lower Silesia)

Abstract :

Contemporary remigration processes to Poland are largely a derivative of post-accession migrations that took place after Poland’s accession to the European Union. Return migrations, due to the scale and potential significance for the economic and business development of the country, require analyses in the sphere of determinants affecting the decision to return, as well as the effects of remigration.?Due to the importance of this issue, the article presents the results of surveys conducted among return migrants in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The study aims to identify the determinants of return and to establish the role of economic factors among them.
